Notes
Snow is NOAA's SNODAS model at about 1 km, one value per day at 06:00 UTC. It's a model fed by stations and satellites: good for "is there snow up there", not for one field. Trail colors use the thinnest quarter of each trail's samples, because the bare spot is what stops you.
Trails are the state GRANIT layer (snowmobile use) plus OpenStreetMap snowmobile routes where GRANIT has none, about miles of the roughly 7,000 in the club system. For the real network and today's grooming, use the official SledNH map.
Off-trail. In the White Mountain National Forest sleds may only use designated routes. Everywhere else is somebody's land: off-trail riding needs the landowner's permission.
Lake ice uses Stefan's law with a low coefficient (1.7 cm/√°C·day) and daily melt, on Open-Meteo daily mean temperatures. Built .
